Volta Regime was released twelve years ago, paving way for Edem to be where he is now. Though the album is old, it still hit listeners' soft spots.
Throwback Thursday: Celebrating Edem’s Volta Regime Album

Denning Edem Hotor popularly known as Edem released his debut album Volta Regime in 2009 after releasing his hit single ‘Wotome Woshi’ in 2006.


 


The album was released two years after signing onto The Last Two Music Group. The Volta Regime album was supervised and executive produced by Hammer of Last Two to bring that uniqueness of the Ewe rap into an industry dominated by Twi rappers.


 


The 13-track album with an introduction on the origin of the Ewes and skits to each cut features artists like Tinny, Kwaw Kese, Sarkodie, Obour, Asem, K. k. Fosu, Tuba, Samini, Jayso, Trigmatic, El and Gemini.
